Balaam 68 bn Ga and Mary 62 bn Md had a son John who md Elizabeth Wynn and a
dau Mahala who md Alexander S Newman 1st and Robert Peel 2nd. Mahala had a
dau by Alexander,Francis Isabella Newman bn 1842 Ga. Mahala md Robert Peel
2nd in 1855 Stewart Co GA.
Balaam and Mary had a dau Winnifred who md Robert H Wynn who was probably a
brother to Elizabeth Wynn that md John Brooks brother to Winnifred.
Balaam and Mary had a dau Malissa bn 1832 Ga and a son Joab who was 28 in
1850 Stewart GA,35 in 1860 Randolph Co GA and 51 or 52 1870 Randolph Co
GA.Joab was a School teacher and never md.There were two Joabs in Randolph
Ga 1870,one living with a Moreland family and one who was living alone.
I believe Balaam and Mary had sons Joel,Elisha? Francis?, Balaam?,James? and
William?.
I believe there could have been 13 or 14 children.
Can anyone help fill in the gaps?????

The sister of John also married a Wynn. Winniford Brooks married Robert H.
Wynn August 7, 1831 in Crawford Co., Ga. They are in Pike Co., AL in 1850
and 1860 then in Barbour Co., AL.

Green 1838 lived in Macon, Bibb Co., Ga in 1886, son-in- law of J. Wesley

Balaam and Mary Brooks were my GGGrandparents. My GGrandparents were John
and Elizabeth Brooks.
They had a total of eleven children
ANN, WILL, LUCY,
BALAAM, FRANCIS, ROBERT,
BENJAMIN JOHN, NANCY
ARABELL
&
GRANDPA THOMAS
In the 1850 census (#430), John was shown as living in the Box Angle
District of Stewart County with his wife, Elizabeth.
They had nine children at home.
M.A. WILL LUCY
BALAAM FRANCIS ROBERT
BENJAMIN JOHN NANCY
On the 6th of May, 1852, John acquired posession of land lot #132 (202
1/2 acres) in the sixth district of Randolph County, Georgia. On the
1860 census, John is shown living on this farm with his wife, Elizabeth.
Six children were still at home.

&
GRANDPA THOMAS
I have more information on John's decendents. Any information on Balaam and
Mary Brooks' decendents, other than John, would be appreciated.

Hi, Jimmy. My John Brooks,bn 1807,married Elizabreth(Wynn),bn 1811. Lived in
Randolph County, Ga in 1960.
Children:
*Ann married William R(Big Willie)McKinnon
*William-Died in Yankee POW camp-Camp Douglas, ILL
*Lucy married William W.(Little Willie)McKinnon
*Balaam at home of W.R.McKinnon in 1860 census - no further record.
*Francis married Nancy Jane McKinnon
*Robert married Caroline (?)
*Benjamin-Died in Yankee POW camp-Camp Douglas,Ill
*Nancy (?)
*Arabell-never married
*John D. married Louise Jane Pate
*Thomas N. married Eunice Pate
Would like info on John's siblings or decendants other than Thomas
