At the October 1989 meeting of Khem Temple, the Ladies of the Household approved a motion to
sponsor a QUEEN'S BALL on February 10, 1990. All members of Khem Temple and
their escorts are invited. There will no charge for attending. All expenses will be paid by Khem Temple. Pr. Wilma Arpen will Chair the QUEEN'S BALL committee and will be assisted by others as needed.

~ PROCLAMATION ~
15 Nov.1989
WHEREAS, when the Queen established a fund raising goal for the Operating Fund for Khem Temple for the year, the ladies of Khem Temple responded and have reached that goal - and then some: and
WHEREAS,
when the Queen established a goal for the number of new members for Khem Temple for the year, the ladies of Khem Temple responded and by the end of the year will have reached that goal - and then some: andWHEREAS,
when the Queen established a goal and asked for support for the Convalescent Relief Fund for the year, including a Fall Foliage Festival, to the Smoky Mountains, the ladies of Khem Temple responded and by the end of the year will have met that goal - and then some: and
WHEREAS,
when the Queen established a goal and asked for support for the Convalescent Endowment Fund for the year, including the
Tasting Luncheon and Fashion Show, the ladies of Khem Temple responded and by the end of the year will have reached that goal- and then some, and
WHEREAS,
when the Queen asked for support for various other functions during the year, including her
imitation, the Country Day fund raiser, the Last Rose of Summer dance, the tea honoring the Supreme Appointees, the
Founder's Day Luncheon, the Supreme Queen's visit and the Queens Ball, the ladies of Khem Temple responded and have met all expectations - and then some:

SO NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED,
That the Khem Temple Queen's Ball to be held at Morocco Temple on February 10, 1990 be dedicated to the
Ladies of Khem Temple in grateful appreciation for their outstanding support of their Queen and their Temple during the 1989/1990 Nile Year, and
I DO HEREBY PROCLAIM IT TO BE SO.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred eighty nine.
