QUEEN ISABEL BROOKS was initiated into Khem Temple in 1973 while still working at the Equitable Life Assurance Society. Consequently, she was not able to activity participate in the leadership of Khem Temple, although she did serve in several appointed positions. When she retired in 1984 she took a more active part in her NILE Temple and became interested in advancing into a leadership role. She served four years in appointed positions and in January 1986 she was elected to the bottom of "THE LINE" She progressed thought the three stations of "THE LINE", performing all the duties and responsibilities of each position.

In January 1989 she was elected by the Ladies of the Household of Khem Temple to serve as their QUEEN for the 1989/1990 Nile year. Each Queen serves for one year from March to March.

 

In March 1989, with all the pomp and circumstance this most formal ceremony required, Princess Isabel was installed as QUEEN of Khem Temple #85, Daughters of the Nile.
