I'll confess up front that I am not a pure genealogist, and I have
made little effort to retain all the sources of the material.
Although the genealogy is correct (or nearly so) to the best of my
knowledge, I don't guarantee it's accuracy. My real
interest is not so much in dates and places but in the lives and
times of our ancestors. What is contained here came
from my research, the federal census, books, relatives,
Atlanta's
Confederate archives
and the

This site was generated primarily for the current day (1985)
descendants of our
JIM BROOKS
and
LONIE HOLLOWAY
forefathers of
150 years ago. (It has since been expanded to include descendants of
Mr.
JIM
and
Mrs.
LONIE.
I am using a
set-top box called WEBTV (later MSN-TV). it has limited capabilities
and is extremely slow compared to PCs....... but it's OK for me.
WEBTV and computer systems live in two different worlds, consequently,
some of these pages may look strange to PCers. PCs have a wider pixel
count
than WEBTV, so that
some text will probably not fill you screen. may not align
properly, pages may be slow loading, some of the pictures will not
open for you and other "things" happen. I am still trying to
learn this HTML stuff, so just enjoy what you can and ignore the rest.
I will be happy to include, and earnestly solicit, any comments or
family history of your personal family that you would like to include
here. Let's make this all inclusive. Email me for suggestions.
